Shabby chic shutters, a black dress, and a pregnancy!

We’ve added some old shabby chic shutters and doors as backdrops in our studio! Ms A was referred to us by a friend and she came in to document her sixth and final pregnancy. This is what she emailed me the next day:

“I seriously had the best time ever– I was (still am) completely blown away by the amazing job you did!! I was not kidding when I said I usually hope that I get just ONE pic that I like!!! LOL!!! I really was NOT planning on buying the whole package, I assumed I wouldn’t like enough of the pics and I really don’t think of myself as photogenic. So…. I credit YOU and your talents for such an incredible outcome!!!!! Your entire process- start to finish- was fun, warm, and a confidence builder. I enjoyed every minute. I felt super comfortable with you and I have felt so LARGE this pregnancy– gained more weight than any of my other babies– so this was actually a tremendous help in my perspective and it was a mental shift: Yesterday was the turning point- I really feel so much better about my size, my body, and what it’s capable of doing. I want you to know YOU were the catalyst to help me get to that place.”

His Smile!

Christmas is fast approaching and because it has been such a busy season, I know there will be tons of guys out their opening their gifts from our studio! A year ago I posted some photos of a groom opening his boudoir gift, so I thought this would be perfect timing to post a few more pictures of guys opening their boudoir gifts. Just check out their smiles!

“I gave him his book last night!! He couldnt wait for Christmas!!! He loves it so much!! He smiled through the whole “viewing” so much he said he’s never had his cheeks hurt from smiling too much!!! He’s already plotting to see when we can do it again!! Again I cant thank you enough for such and an amazing experience!! Here’s a couple of pics I snapped while he was opening the book!!! Thanks so much, look forward to doing it again!“

On Dec 9th Belle Boudoir is holding a fundraising event to benefit Dress For Success.

The cost is $100 for a 20 minute Beauty Portrait session and 5 digital images. All proceeds will be given directly to Dress for Success PLUS we will match your donation!

What is Dress For Success?

Dress for Success is a non-profit organization which promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, networking, and resources to help women thrive in work and in life. We believe this supports our mission to help women of any age, size or shape feel confident by creating effortlessly beautiful images through an empowering, pampering and uplifting experience.

What is a “Beauty” session?

Think “glamour headshot.” The resulting images are great for use on your Facebook/Linkedin page or framed on a desk. This is not a boudoir shoot.

What is included?

The following is included:

20 minute Beauty Portrait session
one outfit with variation (i.e. jacket on and off)
5 images retouched and delivered digitally

* Hair and Makeup is not included. Please arrive prepared and dressed in the outfit of your choice.

What is the cost?

Your $100 booking fee goes directly to Dress for Success, and we will match it! That’s $200 to benefit a great organization, and you get a great portrait too! We also ask that you bring any work place appropriate women’s clothing or accessories you would like to donate to Dress for Success.

We will also accept donations throughout the month, so even if you do not wish to book a Beauty Portrait session, you can arrange a time to drop off your donation.

What donated items should I bring?

Dress for Success has let us know their urgent needs include:

Clothing sizes 16 and larger
Clothing sizes 2 and smaller
Underwear (new)
Bras & Camisoles (lightly worn)
Toiletries & Makeup (toothbrushes/toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, makeup, nail polish)
Clothing racks
