Miss M had always dreamed of having a pin-up style photo shoot. She is obsessed with 40’s and 50’s inspired wardrobe, hair, and makeup and loved the campiness that is a part of every pin up shoot. Miss M wanted to exude the sex-kitten meets house-wife feel that so many women had during the pin-up era and in our opinion, she pulled it off brilliantly!

She was a little nervous walking into the studio but all her nerves and worrisome body-issues were immediately laid to rest by Cheryl Jones and Nikoma Souza. She said that “everyone made me feel really beautiful and completely relaxed once I walked in the door.” Miss M was surprised by how easily the nerves melted away and she settled into having the time of her life.

Miss M’s favorite part of her session with Belle Boudoir was seeing the transformation unfold before her eyes: the long hair extensions, victory rolls, winged eyeliner, red lips, and vintage wardrobe. She exclaimed that she had “found (her) inner Beyoncé by the time everyone was done with (her).” We couldn’t be more pleased to be the ones to help her with that.

Bridal White

If you are booking your session at Belle Boudoir to make a grooms gift for your soon-to-be husband, it is always a good idea to get in at least a couple of Wedding White wardrobe pieces. It may seem cliche but nothing says “Bridal Boudoir” like all white lingerie. The babydoll style nighty in this picture is a brilliant choice for those of you who want to leave a little more to the imagination and save the “big reveal” for your actual wedding night. This outfit shows just enough skin to create a little excitement while still maintaining enough modesty to have your groom on the edge of his seat waiting to get you alone after all the wedding hustle and bustle.

Look like yourself

What do you do when you want to “look like (your)self” but also want a makeup application that is more sultry and polished than your everyday look? You choose something along the lines of what Miss S is sporting below. We started with a flawlessly contoured skin and then played up the eyes with a little smokeyness in the outer corner and crease, lots of black eyeliner, and big false lashes. By keeping the cheeks soft and finishing with pale pink lips, Miss S doesn’t look overdone. Our focus goes directly to her super sexy eyes without being distracted by too much color elsewhere on her face.

Expert Tip: If you are planning to wear a rainbow of colors during your photoshoot with Belle Boudoir, make sure to have your makeup artist apply neutral colors. You can choose brown/bronze tones or grey/gunmetal tones and your makeup will flatter every color in the rainbow!

Wardrobe Wednesday: Corsets!

Corsets, corsets, corsets! I mean, really? Is there anything better than a piece of wardrobe that pulls in your waist and pushes up your bust? I didn’t think so! Corsets are good for everyone – all shapes and sizes. They flatter EVERY body type and aid with a little modesty for those who aren’t super comfortable with their mid section.

This beautiful green and black silk corset is one that we keep stocked in the Belle Boudoir dressing room in sizes XS-XL. The colors in this option are a perfect compliment to a golden or olive skin tone. Pair the below option with a pair of black panties and black thigh highs and you have an insanely sexy outfit. Here we used a stunning gold collar necklace to emphasize the incredible bust line that this corset helped to create. This wardrobe choice is pure perfection in our eyes. Is it one that you would like to wear for your shoot at Belle Boudoir? We have a feeling it might be!

Dramatic Eyes

Calling all Drama Queens! If it is a dark and dramatic smokey eye that you desire for your photoshoot with Belle Boudoir, then this is a *smoking hot* option to consider. By keeping the inner corners of the eyes highlighted with a light shimmering eyeshadow, we are ensuring to keep the eyes BIG and OPEN even though most of the additional colors are very dark. The shape of the shadow is very structured which gives your artist the option of shaping your eyes to your desired shape (more lifted, elongated, etc.). I am a believer that when you choose dramatic eye makeup, you *must* finish your eyes with big, shapely, dramatic false lashes. Without them, your natural lashes with completely drown out and we definitely don’t want that!

In some situations it is ok to wear both a dark eye and a dark lip. But, because we wanted to keep a little hint of sweetness, we decided to go with a baby pink lip and soft pink cheek for the look below.

So remember, if it is drama you are going for, this is one look that should be on your pin-board of ideas!
