What to Wear to Your Boudoir Session

What to Wear (and What Not to Wear) TO Your Boudoir Session: A Quick Guide

There is so much to think about when preparing for your boudoir session that some of the important details can get left behind. Such as what to wear TO your session? Here’s a simple guide to help you prepare:

What to Wear:

1. Loose, Comfortable Clothes:
Opt for loose-fitting, comfortable attire when arriving at your session. Baggy clothes like oversized sweaters, flowy robes, or loose pajama bottoms are ideal. This helps prevent any unwanted lines or marks on your skin, keeping you looking fresh and natural.

2. Soft Fabrics:
Think about fabrics that feel gentle on your skin. Cotton, silk, and soft modal are great choices. These materials won’t leave indentations and will help you stay relaxed and comfortable.

3. Minimal Accessories:
If you’re bringing accessories, keep them simple and minimal. Don’t want to wear your watch in your photoshoot? Make sure to remove it early so the marks can fade before your shoot begins.

What Not to Wear:

1. Tight or Strappy Underwear:
Avoid tight or strappy underwear as they can leave unwanted marks on your skin. Stick to seamless, comfy options that won’t create lines or indentations.

2. Tight Jeans or Pants:
Leave the tight jeans at home. Opt for looser pants or sweatpants instead. Tight clothing can create lines that may be visible in your photos.

3. Socks:
Even though you might think socks are harmless, they can leave lines around your ankles. Go sock-free to ensure your legs look smooth and unblemished.

4. Bras:
A lot of women are uncomfortable walking around without a bra and we get it! But, they can leave unsightly lines and make it difficult to achieve a smooth, flowing look in your photos. So, be brave and go braless!

5. Anything with Strong Elastic or Seams:
Clothing with heavy elastic or prominent seams should be avoided. These elements can leave marks on your skin that might be visible in the final images.

Remember, the goal of a boudoir session is to highlight your natural beauty and make you feel empowered. By choosing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and avoiding anything that could leave lines, you’ll ensure that your photos capture the best version of yourself. Enjoy your session and let your confidence shine through!
