“Hello! I wanted to write you a letter to let you know you have done more for my self esteem and how grateful I am to you. I feel like such a different person now. You actually helped me love myself for the first time. This now shows in my life with how I treat myself, my husband, son, and everyone else I come in contact with. This was one of the most truly awesome experiences, it’s right up there with giving birth to my son. It was that profound for me! I came to your studio to do a birthday book for my husband of almost 20 years but have to say it was me who got the wonderful gift. I’ll never forget seeing my photographs for the first time, I thought they had to be someone else until I looked closer and saw my face. “I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful job you have done! The book turned out absolutely beautiful and I love every single picture (including the ones on the flash drive). I got the book on December 31 at 6:30 pm or so (exactly when I wanted it) and I gave it to my husband the next night. I though it was a great way to start 2016!
I wanted to do something special so I prepared a scavenger hunt for him. Each little gift bag that I set aside for him, it had a clue inside and one or two pieces of lingerie that I wore for the shoot. The last one had a clue and the photo that you gave me to take home with me. When my husband saw that one photo, he was in shock and he had no idea there was still an entire book for him to look at!! He thought the “big prize” was me haha. When he saw the book, he could not believe it! I’ve never seen him reacting that way EVER in my life. He was SO happy, excited and surprised… He couldn’t believe it. A few questions came up all together and at the same time: “when did you do this? Where? How? I hope the photographer was NOT a man!, and this is crazy, you hate photos” haha It was awesome!

“My first but for sure not my last Belle Boudoir Experience. I am going to be honest here ~ I had signed up with a different boudoir company. But after doing a little more research on them I was finding they charged a lot for very little and I just didn’t get a comfortable vibe from them. I mean come on your down to your skivvies if that in front of absolute strangers. So I immediately canceled with them but I had decided that you know I’m turning 30, feeling a little down about myself and felt like I was going through a few changes in my life. So I was on the search for a new place and stumbled upon Belle Boudoir. I immediately felt comfortable with her site. Right then and there I scheduled. I emailed Cheryl and she continually responded to my lengthy emails J. We talked style, look, comfort, accessories and she always had a response that was extremely helpful. Then came the day. I’m going to admit I was extremely nervous when I first got there but the girls made me feel right at home. I felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day. At the end of our session when Cheryl goes to edit photos and then you get to pick out the ones you want to keep I honestly could not choose. I smiled and wanted to cry but I didn’t want to wreck my makeup it was AMAZING! When the day came for me to get my book It was the day before my birthday but I couldn’t wait I had to see them so did my husband J He told me that he hopes that this book helps me see what he sees every day we wakeup together. “A little over a month before I left Seattle, a nurse I met at Swedish Medical Center suggested I should do something fun and memorable before I donate my hair and head down to San Francisco for my brain surgery to start the cancer battle again. Understanding my yo-yo medical history, she kept encouraging me for weeks that I should be daring and told me to get a snapshot of who I am now by suggesting I should consider a boudoir portrait. I thought she was crazy to suggest this given my head was exhausted in planning my transition. For weeks she kept encouraging me to pursue it. I played around with the idea every time I saw her but felt it was something I would not feel comfortable with. Two weeks before I left, I got my courage up to pursue it as I convinced myself that this could be it. I’ve considered myself a classy woman and wanted someone to capture an elegant and classy…but sexy and fun side of me. I sought out to find someone that could match my taste of style. I found Cheryl Jones at Belle Boudoir. With 1.5 weeks left before I departed, Cheryl’s calendar was completely booked out for a month. After reaching out to Cheryl, she squeezed me in right before she had to leave to New York to visit her sick grandmother who was dying of lung cancer. (Looking back now, we are all so connected given her grandmother’s journey then, and how my journey was about to start.) Cheryl spent a whole afternoon with me at her private studio; she was very professional and most of all, I was thankful that she was able to accommodate what I was trying to accomplish in a short timeframe. For many women, they do this for their boyfriends or husbands as a gift or men give this as a gift to their women on special occasions. I did this for myself so I named the portrait book “This is ME”. Over the course of this treatment, I have many times pulled this portrait book up and reminisce about the possibility of returning back to my normal life again. Every time I went into the hospital for surgery or overnight treatment sessions, I would pack this book along with my other personal stuff. It has become my closest reminder of the person I once was and the goal of returning to this person again. Cheryl was generous and kind in helping me accomplish the little memoirs I wanted to leave behind for my family and friends. It goes to show how there are still good people in this world when you least expected it. I highly recommend Cheryl to everyone I know whom seek for professional portraits. Cheryl is not only a kind and generous person, but she’s very experienced and professional.
