What To Expect
Pre-Session
Consultation. I am available anytime to answer your questions via an in-person or over-the-phone consultation. Chatting ahead of time helps me get to know you, answers any of your questions about boudoir, and helps me make it a truly customized experience. Simply contact me to set up a time!
Preparation. Right after you schedule a session, you will get an email from me that contains details on how to prepare for your session, what to bring, and special discounts and offers from local Seattle shops and services.
Day Of The Session
Makeup and Hair. When you arrive at the studio, you are welcome to park directly in front of the entrance doors and come right in! If you have chosen to add hair and makeup to your shoot, your professional sylist will be there ready to make you beautiful. The fee of $150 is paid directly to the stylist, and trust me, it's worth every penny!
Game Plan. You'll be invited to get comfortable and unpack in our lounge area and dressing room. We will begin by scanning your wardrobe so I can begin styling the photo sets to match. I have a full closet of corsets, nighties, and accessories to add to the mix as well! You will then have the opportunity to look at some portfolio books so I can get a sense of what you like (and don't like). If you want some semi-nude "in the bedsheets" images, let me know so we can reserve some time at the end.
The Photo Shoot. We will start with the most comfortable items and simple poses and progress from there. Most women select our 3 hour shoot so be prepared for a lot of fun and laughs. I will take care of set design and guide you through posing -- so don't worry about that. I promise that you will love the experience!
Image Selection. After the photo session is over, you're invited to take a one hour coffee/lunch break in the neighborhood. When you return your images will be edited and ready to view. Together we'll pick your favorites and even design your album right here in the studio. You may request additional hand retouching at this time.
Note: Your makeup/hair, photo shoot, and image selection process will span the entire day, so make yourself at home as you'll be in our studio for about 5-7 hours. If you're unable to stay for the image selection process, you can return to the studio at a later date or we can teleconference online -- it's up to you! Many women choose to take a weekday off of work to complete their session or you're welcome to schedule a weekend date instead.
Post-Session
Production. These images are often delivered in the form of loose prints, retouched digital images, speciality items like a calendar, in a discrete album, or in a large published-style book. They make perfect wedding, anniversary, holiday or birthday gifts, a photographic memento for those deployed overseas, or a keepsake for yourself. After your approval of the layout and design, your selected product will be retouched and in production for 1-2 weeks and then you're welcome to pick it up or have it mailed to you.
