Pink Umbrella and Retro Clothing, Pin Up Style!

I love pin up style photography, so when Ms K came to me with the intention of a fully pin up shoot — I was super excited! I am also thrilled she has let me share her beautiful, fun retro photos with you. She bought a lot of her clothing online from PinUpGirlClothing.com and some of it was from our studio closet. The key to selecting pin up clothing is a high waist, garter belts and thigh highs, and fun dresses. I hope to get more and more opportunities to shoot pin up in the futrure!

Ms H has had a boudoir session on her mind for well over a year now. She planned and planned and the day finally arrived! She decided on wavy hair and a dark smokey makeup look. Erin Hunt executed it beautifully. I LOVED the clothes and props she brought with her. The loose knit tops were beautiful and her husband is going to die when he sees her with his Xbox controller!

During all of this time she has kept her plans a secret from her husband. She has given me lots of ideas on how to keep a session a secret, so I enivsion a blog post in the future with lots of tips and tricks for hiding this perfect surprise. Thanks Ms H for letting me share your gorgeous photos. I love how they turned out!

Ms A scheduled her session on an impulse late one night, and immediately felt nervous. We met ahead of her session which helped ease her nerves and pepped up her excitement. She came to our studio with plans to look like a pin-up girl. Nikoma, our fabulous makeup artist, executed her vision beautifully. Ms A loved what she saw in the mirror! She looked so stunning during her session. Afterwards, she and her soon-to-be fiance came to view the pictures. After showing them a slideshow, they both had the biggest smiles on their faces and I think were a little misty-eyed. We picked out their favorite images in just a few minutes because they loved every single one.

Today Ms A emailed me to say, “There are not enough words to thank you for what you have done for me! Thank you for helping me finally see the beautiful woman I have become. Every woman should spend a day with you! I truly love you and I promise, you will be seeing us again for our wedding.”

Thank you for letting me share your beautiful pictures! You are fabulous.

Thank you Ms A for such a fun photo shoot. Even though it’s only been a couple days from your session, I bet you couldn’t keep the photos a secret from your man for this long, and he’s already got a smile on his face!

Lingerie, Guitar, and a Tank Top

Ms T scheduled her session the day before Valentines Day. Luckily I announced a couple of weeks ago that with some studio improvements, I am now able do same-day edits and photo viewing, so we were able to have the digital images picked and ready for her to surprise her hubby the very next day! I am told he really enjoyed his gift. The fabulous Erin Hunt did her makeup. She was so much fun to work with and brought at least 10 bags full of lingerie and wardrobe ideas. We could easily do another session and not repeat a single thing.

Thank you so much for letting me share these beautiful photos! She had this to say:

“I am a 50 yr. old mother of two teenage boys. I have gone thru breast cancer and was diagnosed nearly 5 yrs. ago thru the Swedish Institute in Seattle.

I was told I would need a complete mastectomy, which just devastated me and I thought I would never be attractive again. Thru chemo, much plastic surgery , and time I had come to realize that “this is as good as it would get” for me.

I heard about Boudoir photography thru GMA, a morning show, and decided to look into it “just for fun”.

I found ”Belle Boudoir Photography”! I did a lot of looking around and found that Cheryl’s work was simply far superior and just beautifully tastefully done! She is a true artist!

We spoke, I scheduled a appointment to have a shoot done for myself, as my 50th birthday is just a couple of weeks away and for my husband for Valentines Day.

The session was easy, enjoyable and Cheryl was great to work with. She made me very comfortable. She had great suggestions and has a real eye for what will look great! I really can’t say enough about it, but that it was one of the best decisions I have made for myself in a very long time. It was a investment, but what better time than now?!

I am SO glad I did it! I am looking forward to going back to do another, I am hoping SOON!

Look into it for YOU! It is so well worth it! There is even a lady that will come do your hair the way YOU like, as well as your make up if you choose! She is the best in Seattle!

Eeek! I am in love with Ms N’s photos and so excited she has let me share then! She came in for a session for herself and so everything we photographed was all about HER which was super fun. The fabulous Erin Hunt did her makeup.

And Happy Valentines Day!!!! A large number of fabulous books went out the door before this special day, so Happy Valentines Day to all of the guys out there getting the best gifts of their lives!!

Seattle Wedding Show
