Today we will photograph our 100th boudoir session since opening our studio doors on December 1st of 2009. It’s been so much fun and I’ve loved every second of it. Thank you to everyone who has come through our doors!

To celebrate our 100th session, one lucky woman will win a FREE full-service session (a $425 value!) in exchange for a $100 check made out to Get Hitched Give Hope – a non profit organization that raises money to grant wishes for breast cancer patients.

Let me repeat that… the winner gets our most popular session at no cost AND will feel all warm and fuzzy by donating $100 to a fabulous charity!

What is included? A full hour of professional hair and makeup followed by a session lasting up to 3 hours with unlimited poses, sets, and outfit changes. Prints and products are sold separately.

Anything else I should know? The sesion must take place in September. Further, we ask that you to select 3-5 tasteful and anonymous (face not shown) images that we can share on the web.

I love smiles in boudoir. A lot of women are not used to giving the camera sexy looks, but everyone can flash a smile! We had a lot of fun during Ms P’s session so naturally there were a lot of a beautiful smiles.

She gave her husband a Coffee Table Book and a couple of accordions because they will be spending some time apart this year pursuing their varried interests. If distance makes the heart grow fonder, I can only imagine that seeing her smile will make his heart grow that much more fonder!

I’ve been working hard on a new brand, website and blog over the past several months and we’re finally nearing completion. I am soo excited for its launch, that I am holding off posting our most recent work until then.

Our new look will better respresent how I feel about boudoir and our services — and most importantly, what our clients have said. Months ago, I asked several of my clients and colleagues to sum up the images from our studio in just two words or less. They said: tasteful… classy… effortlessly beautiful… casually elegant… personal… expressive… artistic… romantic… sophisticated… modern… feel good… sassy… and flirty. We took these thoughts and turned them into a new identity for our small business.

The 4th of July at our Studio

We’ve got a fabulous view of the city from our studio deck, so that’s where we caught a view of the fireworks and had a little bbq. Hope everyone had a fabulous 4th, even with the rain and cold!

Ms S is super smoking! She wanted to document her 6-month pregnancy but then also wanted to minimize her belly for a hot and sexy boudoir book for her husband. This made for a posing challenge that turned out really well! How beautiful and sweet is she?

Ms M came in for a short boudoir session relying only on black and white photography. She brought her boyfriend’s fireman coat and helmet which was really awesome to work with! She celebrated her anniversary yesterday. Congratulations! And I hope he about died seeing these beautiful images.

Our Favorite Boudoir Products

It’s sharing time! From left to right, view the images of the following products.

Fine Art Album. It measures 9×12 in size and holds 40 of your favorite images in an special artistic layout. You have the option of 27 different book cloth covers and an optional photo strip or imprinting (not shown). The pages lay flat without a split in the middle so your images can easily span the width of the spread. Super saturated, sharp, and yummy press printed goodness all over!

8×8 Coffee Table Book. This medium-sized book holds 30 of your favorite images in a clean image-centric layout. You may choose to print a short message on the cover. The pages are matte for beautiful soft skin and lay flat with a tiny split in the gutter. Over and over again, this is the most popular book!

Little Black Book. Measuring 4×6 inches, this little discrete book holds either 20 images with a magnetic enclosure or 10 images without (now shown). The images are printed on professional archival photo paper and mounted one to a page.

Ms. K’s Fine Art Album Design

We recently introduced the Fine Art Album as a step (a gigantic leap, really) up from the very popular Coffee Table Book and Little Black Book. More information about the book itself + photos will come very soon! But in the meantime, here is some eye candy of the album design. I have to say that I LOVE how it turned out! You’ll see that the design matches the fine art feel of the album using an artistic layout compared to the clean layout of the Coffee Table Book. Yummy!

The images represent a 2-page spread and seamlessly fold through the middle. Warning: contains nudity and is not appropriate for viewing at work.

A Girl’s Guide to Buying, Wearing, and Loving Lingerie

The postman just delivered our new studio copies of Underneath It All by Jennifer Carroll and Kathy Schultz. Thumbing through, this little pink book is cute and informative on every topic from personal lingerie styles to how to care for your lingerie. It even covers a short history of lingerie! The Seattle Times gave the book a little love because Kathy is a Seattle shopping expert and Jennifer runs Bellefluer, a stylish chic boutique lingerie shop in Fremont. You can purchase the book on Amazon or schedule a consultation with us prior to your session and take a loaner copy home with you! Either way, step into Bellefluer for personal service and a luxury shopping experience!
